and Wireframes
Created app maps and user flows to align the cross-functional team on content structure and navigation strategy.
Developed low-fidelity wireframes to validate screen content, layout, and state coverage.
Built a high-fidelity, tappable prototype for stakeholder and user testing, gathering insights that informed improvements to the location-based and thematic search experience.
Outcome
The app received multiple national awards for its innovative approach, becoming the first of its kind to showcase a state's history through 21st-century technology. As a result, the 2019 Commemoration, American Evolution, was recognized as the first digital commemoration in history.
Following the 2019 celebration, the state rebranded the app with its iconic "Virginia is for Lovers" theme, continuing to support it as a key resource for education and tourism.
